Cosplay, how to make the costume of Alice in Wonderland (McGee Madness Return)

We started from nothing devising a real pattern (a pattern in the paper also called pattern) to follow to cut and assemble the pieces of cloth. I took my measurements and we bought two beautiful drapes of fabric in cotton; one blue and one white. A little 'blue wire and a piece of plywood ... you will say, what we do with the plywood? ... Well, Alice McGee fights with a nice knife and we want to build in wood.

Here is my dress, my dress, my cosplay costume with which impersonerò Alice McGee (not too in wonderland), complete with a knife. By the way, my ax is called Lama Vorpale (Vorpal Blade) and is powerful against the evil creatures of the game. We also built the pendant in the shape of Omega (Omega Necklace).

Let's start with accessories ... because the details are very, very important in cosplay. Now let's build our beautiful dress Cosplay! ...

Even in this case, we start by details. You know the symbols that Alice has on her apron pockets? ... Well, they are magical symbols, in particular, we ♃ Jupiter and the symbol of Eris, the ancient Greek god of discord (I would not want to annoy a similar deity, then I admit that I am not sure it is exactly what the second symbol, though it is cute).

Cut out the shapes of the symbols and divine astral and settle above the pockets that will end up in the apron of Alice.

Here is the draft of the apron, with a long ribbon. The belt is the belt and with that we will make a nice bow.

Finally, cut out the pieces of the real dress, according to our model (pattern or pattern that I showed you at the beginning of these instructions).

Now we apply on the back of the dress a nice zipper at the center along the back.

And here I am, I became Alice! ... NOTE: Regarding the puffy sleeves, Unfortunately we do not have pictures, but the model I have shown how to cut the fabric. Should be sewn as indicated by the arrows, and the result you can see above.

Now an important detail of the dress, the underskirt of Alice. Easy to create. E 'enough to cut a semicircle as above, be provided with elastic insert on the inside and a nice lace to sew on the outer circumference. This is the petticoat dress McGee's Alice Madness Return. We liked so much the symbols of the pockets that we have replicated here as well, along the bottom edge. We incorporated the symbols of Mercury ☿ - ♄ Saturn - Neptune ♆ - the Moon ☽ - ♅ Uranus - Venus and Mars ♂ ♀. In addition, for fun, we wrote Gatto999 as embroidery done by hand.

Last touch for our cosplay of Alice: the striped stockings and a pair of boots with buckles. Perfect! ...

After this beautiful carved, we dedicate a little 'rest and decide to take a nice walk in our beloved Tuscan countryside. My new friend Totoro follows me happy, he also likes to walk around.
